DESCRIPTION:Newburyport Art (NAA) is proud to announce the 2026 National Juried Show\, Juried by James Stroud. The show features 121 pieces made by 104 artists whose work was selected from nearly 600 entries. This highly competitive show is rich in painting\, photography\, printmaking\, pastel\, drawing\, and sculpture. \nJames writes about the exhibit\, “I was truly honored to serve as the juror for the Newburyport Art Association’s 2026 National Juried Show. I thoroughly enjoyed reviewing the wonderful selection of entries\, which was the largest number ever received for this exhibition. Given the gallery’s space constraints\, I strove to be as inclusive as possible across genres and media… The selection process is always difficult\, and I extend my warmest congratulations to the exhibiting artists. [The artwork] truly stood out.” \nThe 2026 National Juried Show is on view throughout the Sargent\, Hills and Hartson galleries. An opening reception and awards presentation by juror James Stroud\, will be held Saturday\, June 6th\, from 4-6pm with light refreshments and beverages. The event is free and open to the public. For a full list of exhibiting artists and artwork\, please visit newburyportart.org. \nThe exhibition coincides with the Summer Gift Shop\, with all members’ original artwork in a variety of mediums\, for sale under $200 and no larger than 12” x 18”. The Summer Gift Shop is through August 22nd. \nNew Hours: Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00am–5:00pm. The gallery is handicap accessible.
