Beyond the Portrait: The Local World of Mercy Otis Warren (Plymouth)

Author/Historican Stephen O’Neill examines the artwork, decorative arts, material objects and architecture of Mercy and her contemporaries in Revolutionary Massachusetts.

John Singleton Copley painted this portrait of Mercy Otis Warren long before she became famous as a leading voice and historian of the American Revolution. It is a portrait of a woman of sophistication, intelligence, style and determination.

The Mercy Otis Warren Society invites you to A Scholarship Fundraiser. There will be Light Refreshments and a Cash Bar. Tickets are $25.
