Umberto Romano was commissioned to create works by the Federal Arts Program, a New Deal program. Romano and his work were larger-than-life, and his concern for the human condition was the focus of most if not all of his artwork. Susan Erony will present on Romano’s work for the Federal Arts Program.
Susan Erony is an artist in Gloucester, whose work focuses on issues of humanity. She has exhibited extensively in Europe, Canada, and United States, and her work is in numerous public and private collections. She has consulted with organizations on the relationship of art to society, written, taught, and lectured on art history and art, practice and organized exhibitions on subjects ranging from the use of artistic devices and creating prejudice to those showcasing, the work of one artist.
