Haunted Happenings Keeping Salem Magical

Take the Train to Salem for Haunted Happenings

When the leaves change color and autumn is in the air, all eyes turn to Salem, MA for spooky Halloween fun. Haunted Happenings is the largest celebration of Halloween in the world, with more than a half-million visitors a year! Join the fun by touring a haunted house, viewing a ghostly parade, taking a walking tour, or visiting one of the many Salem museums and special events throughout October. However, Salem doesn’t have half a million parking spots, so instead of getting stuck in traffic and not finding a place to park, the easy solution is to just take the train.

Special Added Weekend Service to/from Salem Station in October

Make your trip to/from Salem, MA this October faster and more convenient. Hopping on the added weekend train service from North Station or neighboring communities will not only make your travel time easier but will also expedite your total travel time on busy Halloween weekends. Additionally, Salem Station makes taking part in Haunted Happening accessible to all visitors with 2 working elevators, a full high-level platform and level boarding for every train. To accommodate visitors, the Commuter Rail provides increased weekend service in October on the Newburyport/Rockport Line so you can get in and out of Salem without any fuss. This saves you time searching for a parking spot, and money on high parking fees, and brings you right into downtown Salem so you can get right to the Halloween excitement.

Commuter Rail Weekend & Holiday Passes

Weekend passes are available for $10, and allow for unlimited trips on the Commuter Rail on Saturdays and Sundays. Take advantage of the $10 Holiday Weekend Pass for unlimited travel during the Columbus/Indigenous Weekend. Special ticket prices also apply on Halloween day/night. On Halloween, there will be a special Halloween Ticket, a $10 round-trip to Salem or a $5 round-trip from Beverly-Salem.
