SUMMARY:Forefather’s Day Celebration (Plymouth)
DESCRIPTION:Every year in Plymouth on December 22nd\, the Old Colony Club\, which was established in 1769\, “honors the forefathers.” The celebration begins at 6:00 AM with a march by members to the top of Cole’s Hill next to the Massasoit’s statue\, followed by a reading of the Mayflower Compact and a ritual firing of the club’s cannon. They fire the cannon 3 times: once to honor the past\, once for the present\, and once for the future. \nView a 2025 video of this annual event Here. \n
