SUMMARY:Seed Saving and Sharing the Yield from the Garden (Plymouth)
DESCRIPTION:Did you know that saving seeds is one of the best ways to practice permaculture? Saving seeds allows you to save money and plant the best crops from the previous year’s yield. Giving these to others in the community encourages building a permaculture and food resilient community. When you grow and save your own seeds you develop crops that are well suited for your climate and growing conditions as well as more disease resistant. We will go into the Community Garden and harvest various seed heads from plants. Feel free to bring seed pods from your house too to process and share! We will place the seeds in seed envelopes to share and stock the seed library for next year’s planting season. \nRegistration is required and opens September 16\, 2023 at 6:30pm. Fehlow Meeting Room.

SUMMARY:Music Through the Ages by North River Brass Quintet (Plymouth)
DESCRIPTION:North River Brass Quintet is a chamber ensemble of brass musicians whose musical roots began with the Southeastern Philharmonic Orchestra\, where we have shared our love of music for many years. Fondly known as the orchestra’s “Back Row Brass\,” we have developed not only a strong musical connection\, but also a lasting friendship and a genuine passion for performing together. Since our formation in 2014\, North River Brass Quintet has continued to bring live brass music to churches\, libraries\, community organizations\, and town-sponsored events throughout the region. Our repertoire spans a wide range of musical styles and eras—from Renaissance and classical works to hymns\, jazz\, Broadway favorites\, and popular music. \nFor us\, performing is about more than the music itself. It is about connecting with an audience\, celebrating the joy of making music together\, and sharing something meaningful with our community. We hope today’s program\, Music Through the Ages\, takes you on a musical journey while celebrating the enduring themes of friendship\, family\, faith\, gratitude\, and the simple joy of music shared with others. Fehlow Meeting Room \nThis concert is made possible through the Dr. Richard M. Shiff Forum funds. \n
