The community is invited to the Flag Sojourn 250 ceremony on National Flag Day, Sunday, June 14th, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Plimoth Pawtuxet is hosting the ceremony on the pier of the Mayflower II on Water Street in Plymouth, Mass.
The special U.S. flag used in this ceremony has traveled to every U.S. cemetery overseas, all U.S. territories, and, soon, every state in America. The flag will end its journey in Washington, D.C., in July.
Flag Sojourn 250 is a project of national unity from the National Flag Foundation and America250’s America Waves program, an epic tribute campaign to the greatest American symbol: the American flag. National key programming partners include UPS, the American Battle Monuments Commission, and the National Sheriffs’ Association. The Plymouth ceremony is organized by Plymouth County Sheriff Joseph D. McDonald, Jr., Plimoth Pawtuxet, and See Plymouth.
