Join us for Inspiration and Creation: Water, Wind and Weather, a special afternoon with acclaimed sculptor Nancy Selvage, known for her large-scale public sculptures and installations and her longtime role as Director of Ceramics at Harvard University.
Through images and conversation, Selvage will explore how the forces of nature have influenced her ideas, materials and creative process. She will share examples of her installations, offering an inside look at how large-scale works evolve from inspiration and concept to finished sculpture.
The program will also feature artists featured in our Inaugural Sculpture Exhibition, who will join Selvage in a lively conversation about their own work, inspirations and approaches to creating three-dimensional art.
Weather permitting, the afternoon will conclude with a walk through the Center’s new Sculpture Garden, where guests can experience the exhibition firsthand, meet participating artists and hear the stories behind the works on display. Free and open to the public.
Talk sponsored by Peter and Wen hao Crawley.
