Plimoth Patuxet Museums invites the public to join staff for Museum Clean Up Day on Saturday, March 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This longstanding Museum tradition offers volunteers a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to prepare a living history museum for a new season after the winter months.
Museum Clean Up Day is a hands-on community effort that helps ready these spaces for Opening Day. Volunteers will assist with indoor and outdoor projects across the campus—from the Historic Patuxet Homesite to the Plimoth Grist Mill—helping to preserve and share the interwoven stories of the Indigenous and English communities who met along these shores in the 17th century.
The work completed during this day will be experienced and appreciated by visitors from across the country and around the world who travel to Plymouth to engage with this nationally significant site. Individuals, groups, and families are welcome.
Rain Date: March 8, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 3: 00 PM – Full or half-day opportunities are available. Please Sign-up Here or on the Event website.
