The Art of Pysanka Workshop (Brockton)

Come learn the art of pysanka, a traditional Ukrainian egg craft. This class includes an introductory lecture and all the materials needed to create your own pysanky. In this presentation participants will be treated to a brief and fascinating history of “writing” eggs in the ancient Ukrainian tradition. After the presentation participants will have the opportunity to write their own eggs following a few simple directions and procedures either using traditional themes and motifs, or they are welcome to create original works of art using these ancient techniques.
