• Plymouth residents love their ponds and shorelines. But when it comes to caring for our own yards, do we understand how our choices might negatively affect the water and habitat nearby?
• Water quality in many ponds is already degraded, and we are experiencing more and more harmful cyanobacteria blooms: blooms fueled in part by fertilizers and other nutrients that wash into the water from our own properties.
• The good news is that every homeowner can make a difference. A few simple changes to how you care for your yard can protect the water and still leave it healthy and beautiful.
