What’s New at Living Observatory Presentation (Plymouth)

March 5 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

Living Observatory (LO) was founded in 2011 to support and promote projects undertaken by members of our learning collaborative. Shaped by scientists, artists, and restoration practitioners, LO projects track ecological change at many wetland restorations on retired cranberry farms, including Mass Audubon’s Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary and The Town of Plymouth’s Foothills Preserve. LO develops technologies to foster public access to and engagement with nature’s recovery, and works with partners to curate a culture of learning that improves decision-making for sustainable human-nature interactions.

In this talk, Glorianna Davenport, Founder and President, will introduce LO’s mission and goals. Brian Mayton (PhD, MIT Media Lab 2020), will demonstrate how the web-based platform he has developed supports the LO community and their projects. Adrian Wiegman (PhD UVM 2022), LO’s Learning Coordinator and Data Specialist, will discuss core learning initiatives.

Join us in person or virtually to learn more about some of our exciting efforts and outcomes. This presentation will be recorded.
