4th of July Service
Join The Celebration in Boston!
There’s no better way to celebrate America’s Independence Day than joining the party in the birthplace of independence – Boston, Massachusetts. Held annually on the Esplanade and along the Charles River, the free Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular is a Fourth of July party like no other. The event was created to unite the City of Boston and allow for families and friends to gather to enjoy sensational music, cannons and fireworks.
Avoid the stress of finding a parking spot and fighting the traffic to arrive and depart this once-a-year event by hopping on the extended service of the Commuter Rail. Even better, with the $10 Holiday Ticket, you get unlimited travel all day long. Bring your children along, as kids under 11 always ride for free.
Commuter Rail will run on a Regular Weekend Schedule on July 4th with the exception of the last Newburyport Train and the last Worcester Train which will have delayed departures. All other lines excluding Needham, have scheduled trains that depart after the conclusion of the Boston Fireworks. For schedules, visit MBTA.com/holidays.
