How to Use Plymouth’s Special Circuit Service

Ride Circuit is offering free transportation between the Kingston Commuter Rail Station and the Plymouth Waterfront Visitor Center, Thursdays through Sundays, now through October 12,2025. Those traveling from Boston on the Kingston Line can hail a shuttle from the Kingston Station and get a free ride to the Plymouth Waterfront Visitor Information Center. You can also book a ride to other areas in Plymouth by downloading the Ride Circuit app on your smartphone. 

Ride Circuit offers both morning and afternoon hours for your convenience and allows for a full-day experience in Plymouth:

How to Spend a Day in Plymouth

Museums & Historic Sites in Plymouth

Pilgrim Hall Museum is the oldest continuously operated museum in the country, located at 130 Water Street and about a 0.2-mile walk from the Plymouth Waterfront Visitor Information Center. Here, you’ll uncover the 400-year-old story of the pilgrims and the Native Wampanoag people. Explore multimedia presentations, rare artifacts, and exhibitions that tell the story of the Indigenous people who lived here and the English families who settled here in 1620.

About a 0.4-mile walk from the Pilgrim Hall Museum on Water Street is the Mayflower II, a full-scale reproduction of the Mayflower docked in Plymouth Harbor. This floating museum operates as a space that details the Pilgrims’ long journey to Plymouth. Then, walk about 0.2 miles from the Mayflower II to the world-famous Plymouth Rock, a symbol representing the Pilgrims’ legendary landing site. After visiting Plymouth Rock, walk approximately 0.1 mile to the museum and library, located in the Mayflower Society House, which is filled with archival materials and artifacts related to Pilgrim descendants and genealogical research.

Brewster Gardens, located at 30 Water Street, connects the Plymouth waterfront and downtown business district, offering several trails for walking or hiking. You can also visit the Pilgrim Memorial State Park, where you’ll enjoy beautiful views of Plymouth Harbor and the Mayflower II
